Nature of the service

StepsCal provides informational calculators. Results are estimates produced from published formulas applied to the inputs you supply. They are not medical, dietary, or professional fitness advice and must not replace consultation with a qualified practitioner.

Consult a healthcare provider before starting a new exercise program, especially if you have a cardiovascular condition, are pregnant, or are managing any medical diagnosis.

Use of the site

The calculators are free to use for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes. Automated bulk scraping, reverse engineering, or redistribution of the calculator implementations is not permitted without written permission.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. StepsCal is not liable for any decision, injury, health outcome, or financial loss resulting from the use of results shown on the site. You are responsible for the inputs you enter and the conclusions you draw.

Intellectual property

The site design, code, written content, and calculator implementations are proprietary to StepsCal unless a different license is stated. The underlying physiological formulas are published research, referenced on the methodology page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of European Union. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that territory.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms over time. Material changes will be reflected by the revision date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
